Phase rotation. Designed for a clearer view.
Why move around the equipment to see the indicator, when the indicator can be designed around you? That question sits at the heart of our phase rotation plug.

A clearer line of sight
An externally positioned indicator, with visibility at the centre of the design.
Built around the task
Practical engineering informed by the way connectors are used.
Stainless steel construction
A robust material choice for demanding industrial applications.
The detail that changes the experience
In underground and industrial environments, access and visibility influence how equipment is used. A detail that appears straightforward on a drawing can become awkward when a connector is installed around a switchboard or starter.
For phase rotation testing, the position of the indicator is one of those details. If it is difficult to see from the working position, the operator has to adjust their position to read it. That practical observation was the starting point for this design.
Put visibility into the design
New Macey's phase rotation plug positions the indicator externally, with visibility central to the design. The intention is straightforward: bring the indication into the operator's line of sight.
The product combines this arrangement with stainless steel construction for demanding applications. Rather than treating the indicator as a secondary component, its placement becomes part of how the whole product is designed to be used.
Better thinking. A more practical product.
It is a small design decision with a clear purpose: make information easier to see in the environment where the work happens. This is the kind of practical detail that benefits from conversations with the people using electrical equipment every day.
The broader lesson extends beyond this plug. Product development starts with understanding the task, questioning an awkward detail and refining the design around the application. Visibility is one part of that task, alongside correct product selection and the site's established testing procedures.
